This blanket is my “go to” for quick & easy baby gifts. It is one of those patterns that doesn’t need counting or constantly looking at the pattern so makes for a relaxing knit. I highly recommend it for a first blanket project for beginner knitters.

Not only is Beechtree easy baby blanket knitting pattern a great baby blanket, it makes a great blanket for furbabies, too. My dogs, Rocket and Maria have their own blankets in their beds and then have one in their favorite places on the sofa, too. (No, they are not spoiled!) 😊

My husband is a ham radio hobbyist. He asked me to make several of these in cotton yarn as covers. He says the 36 inches by 36 inches is a perfect size to cover and protect his radio equipment.

Recently, I held a contest on Instagram to name the two cute models you see the photograph below. Let me introduce you to Tink and Purl! Be on the lookout for some new easy baby blanket knitting pattern designs coming out in the coming months. You’ll see Tink and Purl pop up from time to time.

In the meantime, give Beechtree a try. It is a blanket to work on while watching TV or listening to music. As mentioned, it is 36 inches by 36 inches, great size for babies, but small and easy enough to be a good, portable take-along project.
