Of course I like all my designs, but this washcloth knitting pattern is a favorite for its simplicity. I make a lot of these knit washcloths or spa cloths (fancy name for face cloth) for my personal bathroom as I like a clean, simple look.

So without further ado, I introduce you to the Connelly Springs dishcloth and washcloth pattern!

This washcloth knitting pattern speaks to a modern, sleek bath area and its simplicity makes it a favorite for minimalists, as well.

You can get carried away when knitting these and may knit a batch of them in no time because they are so easy.

Turn on some good music and before you know it, you have knitted up a whole batch of these for a wedding gift or for a baby shower. What kind of music do you like to listen to while knitting? My choice is blues.

I like to give these cloths as “just because” gifts because the simple design will fit anyone’s décor.

The Connelly Spring pattern is mostly garter stitch (knit every row) with two stripes of stockinette stitch thrown in for visual interest. Stockinette stitch is knit one row, purl the next. Adding the stockinette stripe mimics a style of a store bought washcloth.
