Oh, I have been on a washcloth roll lately! A church in my area is involved in a prison ministry. They pack gifts for female inmates for Christmas. This is the only gift many receive for the holiday. The gift includes personal hygiene products and toiletry items, including a bar of soap and a washcloth. I love knitting washcloths to be included in the gifts. It is rewarding to know someone may feel cared for in bad situations and will appreciate the basic necessities most of us take for granted.
As an added bonus, I get to create new patterns to share with you in luscious colors and all the samples get used in a good way.
By the way, don’t get thrown off by me calling this a baby washcloth knitting pattern. In order to get noticed on the search engines, I have to assign a unique keyword to each blog post. Really!!! The Gamewell baby washcloth knitting pattern is one I enjoy making for this project. It uses only knit & purl stitches and has an easily memorized 4 row repeat. Three of those four rows are garter stitch (knit every row)!
I knit Gamewell washcloths at the doctor’s office, waiting at the car wash, watching TV with my husband or while hanging out taking to friends. It’s THAT easy.
Whether you need a quick, easy gift idea or just want to quickly refresh your kitchen or bathroom linens. You will complete a batch of Gamewell washcloths before you know it!
You can find the pattern here in the Knit So Easy Etsy store or Ravelry, whichever you prefer.
